- Heaven SAs the only Liberian restaurant in Dallas, 5 stars. The shopping center and building itself isn't first-class, but as a Liberian myself, the food here is the real deal. I had dry rice, cassava leaf (for take out) and fried plantains. My husband, who is American, tried their food for the first time and was VERY impressed. The owners are down to earth and everything was served with clean silverware. Worth a visit at least once if you are curious.
- Suzanne RI really enjoyed this place the atmosphere and the staff were awesome I got some recommendations and I went with the peppered soup with goat meat and fufu. They also has a seafood option. The soup was soo good but it is spicy. My boyfriend had the Cajun seafood pasta. We also had some yummy fried plantains. Would definitely go back!
- Jammie LIt’s customary that I seek to find an African restaurant, especially a Liberian owned, whenever I traveled, especially when on business trips. It is imperative that we do support our own where ever we are! Whilst in Decatur Texas, a research for such restaurant was done and the Monrovia Lounge was found in Dallas. I decided to stay the night closer to the airport, which would allow for a non-rushed experience getting to the airport, but also a non-rushed visit to the Monrovia lounge. I must say, my experience at the Monrovia Lounge was great and I would recommend visiting there if in the Dallas area. Wow! The Attieke with Baked Fish, plantain, etc. was great and very cost effective! I’m very proud of 2 beautiful children of mother Liberia, the owners of Monrovia Lounge! Continue to make mother Liberia proud and I wish y’all the best in your business!
